Dr. Roy Brooks Bio

I left McLean H.S. to become the principal of Washington Irving Intermediate School in 1960. That year eight new schools were opened to 7th and 8th graders. In 1974, after 14 years at Irving I was transferred to Luther Jackson Intermediate School. I retired in 1978 after 30 years in education.

My most memorable moment took place in the Industrial Arts Department. I taught Industrial Arts and was 8th grade counselor. Mr. Harless and other department faculty placed my small car between the benches of the shop lab.
